So where did the Americans get their evidence?????

Israeli intelligence ‘intercepted Syrian regime talk about chemical attack’

Information passed to US by Israeli Defence Forces’ 8200 unit, former official tells magazine

A team of United Nations inspectors have resumed their second day of investigations at the site of an alleged chemical weapons attack outside Damascus, as western leaders moved towards military action in response to the Syrian regime’s reported use of chemical weapons against civilians.

The UN team left their Damascus hotel early on Wednesday after the operation was suspended on Tuesday following a sniper attack on its convoy on Monday.

The bulk of evidence proving the Assad regime’s deployment of chemical weapons – which would provide legal grounds essential to justify any western military action – has been provided by Israeli military intelligence, the German magazine Focus has reported.

The 8200 unit of the Israeli Defence Forces, which specialises in electronic surveillance, intercepted a conversation between Syrian officials regarding the use of chemical weapons, an unnamed former Mossad official told Focus. The content of the conversation was relayed to the US, the ex-official said.

The 8200 unit collects and analyses electronic data, including wiretapped telephone calls and emails. It is the largest unit in the IDF.

Israel has invested in intelligence assets in Syria for decades, according to a senior government official. “We have an historic intelligence effort in the field, for obvious reasons,” he said.

Israel and the US had a “close and co-operative relationship in the intelligence field”, he added, but declined to comment specifically on the Focus report.

Senior Israeli security officials arrived in Washington on Monday to share the latest results of intelligence-gathering, and to review the Syrian crisis with national security adviser Susan Rice.

In northern Israel, a military training exercise began on Wednesday in the Golan Heights, Syrian territory that has been occupied by Israel since 1967. There have been numerous incidences of mortar shells and gunfire landing on the Israeli-controlled Golan over the past year, prompting return fire by the IDF on occasion.

The Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, was due to convene the security cabinet on Wednesday to discuss impending US military intervention in Syria. Officials are assessing the chances of Syrian retaliation against Israel following US action.

An unnamed senior Syrian army officer told the Iranian news agency Fars: “If Syria is attacked, Israel will also be set on fire and such an attack will, in turn, engage Syria’s neighbours.”

Israel was “prepared for every scenario” and would respond forcefully if necessary, Netanyahu said after the meeting.

Later, Benny Gantz, the Israeli chief of staff, said: “Those who wish to harm us will find us sharper and firmer than ever. Our enemies should know that we are determined and ready to defend our citizens by any action necessary, against any threat and in any scenario we will face.”

The likelihood of Syrian retaliation depended on the scale of the US attack, said military analyst Alex Fishman.

“If it is decided to fire several dozen Tomahawk missiles at military targets, there is a chance that the Syrians will succeed in containing the attack, presenting the offensive as a failure and praising the staying power of the army and the Syrian people; however, if it is decided to fire hundreds of missiles and significantly harm its strategic assets, the Syrian need for an act of revenge will heighten,” Fishman wrote in Yedioth Ahronoth.

“The formula is simple: The more threatened the Syrian regime feels, the greater the chance that it will fire at its neighbours,” he added.

Meanwhile, demand for gas masks and protection kits from the Israeli public continued to rise. The Israeli postal authority said telephone inquiries had increased by 300% and queues had formed outside distribution depots.

According to a report in Ma’ariv, Israel’s home front command is grappling with the problem of providing gas masks to men with beards, extremely common among ultra-Orthodox Jews. A special mask, which can accommodate a beard, is available but the high cost means it is only distributed to men over 65 or whose beards are for health reasons.

“Men who grow beards for religious reasons will have to shave in the event of a chemical attack,” Ma’ariv reported.

Drum beats of war

A few weeks ago we had a trial of a guy that killed a young teenager whilst on his way back from the store…… There was not one publication that gave any credit at all to the man that got beat up by a young thug.
Until of course, the real information was made public and the reporters were either too blind or too lazy to go find….. it was always there….
Then there was WMD that again reporters followed the party lines because they did not have the backbone to say the way it was………… remember those aluminum tubes that were supposed to be rockets……….. even though every arms specialist was telling the world they are pipes…. thats all……….
And now we have UN inspectors that say they do not know yet enough about this episode to be firm. Yet war drums beating from every quarter (last year it was Iran) and no good reporting.
Yet we are mobilizing planes boats troops for a spectacular invasion to ‘save’ these poor people……. and as usual testosterone and the convenient need for war are the real motivators behind this issue…..
When will we learn?

A man is believed to have been killed by a crocodile in Australia’s Northern Territory while swimming in a river during a birthday party.

Police say he ignored signs to stay out of the water at a popular camping ground at Mary River, 65 miles (100km) from Darwin, the state’s capital.

The river has one of the highest crocodile populations in the area.

Onlookers watched in horror as the victim was suddenly attacked.

He was last seen in the crocodile’s powerful jaws, reports the BBC’s Phil Mercer in Sydney. Police are searching for him.

The victim and another man had gone swimming across the river, and were swimming back when the crocodile attacked, police say.

“Several of the group in the party witnessed the male being taken in the jaws of the croc for a period of time, and then he was out of sight,” Senior Sergeant Geoff Bahnert is quoted as saying by the AP news agency.

“The Mary River is known worldwide to have the greatest saturation of adult saltwater crocodiles in the world. You don’t swim in the Mary River,” he added.

Saltwater crocodiles can grow up seven metres (23ft) long and weigh more than a tonne; they are a common feature of Australia’s tropical north.

Flush Twice It’s A Long Way To The Atlantic – J. Willie Demands The Flushing….

Apparently the comfy relationship between Jacksonville SAO head Angela Corey and the local civil rights activists, who proclaimed her magnanimity during the trial of George Zimmerman, are back to pre-Christian Fernandez levels.

This ‘some are more equal than others’ approach, is getting confusing.  However, we cannot, in good faith or conscience, allow Angela Corey to be drawn and quartered just yet. I’ll explain after the recent article.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Civil Rights Association has issued a letter to Gov. Rick Scott requesting for State Attorney Angela Corey be removed, and that a special prosecutor be appointed in the shooting death of Jordan Davis on November 23, 2012.

The two page letter to Governor Scott states that a new Special Prosecutor is needed to “suppress racial tension created in the failed prosecution by Corey and her staff that led to a not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial of Trayvon Martin.” (link)

How to Pitch

A South Korean actress left a stadium of sports fans gasping in awe as she spun through the air for a dramatic first pitch on Saturday.

Tae-Mi, who won the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in 2007, made her athletic pitch for the Doosan Bears game against SK Wyverns in Seoul.

As the star of the 2011 martial art film The Kick walked away from the pitcher’s mound, former Cleveland Indians pitcher Chris Seddon appeared to be smiling in disbelief.

Amazing 9 yr olds

Two nine-year-old girls have taken to the skies to become the world’s youngest formation wing-walkers.

Rose Powell and Flame Brewer, who are cousins, flew metres apart above RAF Rendcomb in Gloucestershire.

They have become the third generation of their families to wing-walk on the bi-planes, which are owned by pilot and grandfather Vic Norman.

In 2009, Flame’s brother Tiger became the youngest to wing-walk with his grandfather. He was eight at the time.
‘Superwoman pose’

Rose, a student at Thomas’s school in Fulham, west London, said her cousin had the idea but it was a “once in a lifetime experience”.

“It’s quite scary when you take off but if you like mega funfair rides I think you’ll find the take-off really cool,” she added.

“The best bit was probably taking off or doing the Superwoman pose.”

Her cousin Flame, who attends Notting Hill Prep school, said: “It was really fun and really windy. The best bit is just being in the air.”

They wanted to use the challenge as a way of raising money and awareness for the Duchenne Children’s Trust, which raises money for research into the fatal genetic disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The Cirencester-based AeroSuperBatics team has claimed the record based on it being the only aerobatic formation wing-walking team in the world.

The Indian Brave

A young Indian Brave goes to his father one day and says…..

Father……. how do we get our names?????

The Chief eager to be as informative as he can be turns to his young Brave and says ………

We use the way of our father, and his father and his father before him………..

On the day of your birth, at the time of your birth, and the place of your birth, you are picked up and brought out of the wigwam and held up in both arms so that the Great Spirits may know you and keep you safe.

Then when the gaze of the father returns to the ground from the heavens……… the very first thing he sees becomes the name for the new Brave……..

So the father may see a bear hunting in the distance……… and then you may be called “Great Bear”

Or maybe he would see the animal with antlers…… then you may be called “Running Deer”

Or he may even see a horse with a bad temper and then you may be called “Crazy Horse”

Feeling confident that the matter was fully explained but receiving no response from the young Brave the father says…… but why does this trouble you……………….???????
